To become a millionaire, I don’t want you to simply read the lessons on this site, you must DO them! I can give you the “hoo-rah-rah” speech and make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and want to get rich, but will you actually do it? That’s only a question that you can answer, but answer it honestly. Do you really want to become a millionaire badly enough to invest money rather than spending it on cars, cell phones, and Pay-Per-View? Are you patient enough to still be working at it in 1, 5, 10 years from now?
We all want to become a millionaire, but most of us won’t make the sacrifices to do it. So rather than just “wanting” to become a millionaire, make it happen. Follow what I am about to teach you and make whatever sacrifices you need to. Hopefully this is your turning point. Don’t let this be another site you look at and say “WOW, that’s amazing,”; Be amazing yourself! Here’s what I’m talking about:
What Motivated Me
A few hundred years ago I worked for a mobile home park selling trailers; yeah, I know, sexy job, right? There were always at least six homes for sale by the park at any one time, and it was my job to fill them. Frankly, it was a rather boring job with lots of free time, but that wasn’t the important part (thank heavens, imagine if it was!). What was significant was my boss, who was also the owner.
When he was young, he became a real estate agent and basically lived at his office. He would be the first one in every morning and the last one out each night. The reason? In the office where he worked, they took turns taking calls (potential clients), but if no one else was there, they were all his. Once he even sold a property on Christmas Day because (of course) no one else was in the office to take that unexpected Christmas Day call. Soon he learned that selling a $100K house was about as simple as selling a $5 million office building, so he started getting into BIG deals. He became a multi-millionaire by the age of 30 and decided to retire. Yes, at age 30! He only went back into business because he got bored.
Be “That Guy”
We have all heard the story of the guy who made $50K in a week betting on commodities, or know a friend who flipped a house for $60K, or even met the guy who made millions in Amway. These are all amazing stories, and certainly not the norm, but none of these stories are about you! Why not? That’s what I asked myself years ago.
If these stories are so remarkable and people seem to make money so seamlessly, why don’t I? The answer is because I choose to do other things rather than become a millionaire. It is not as if there is some “secret” to making money. People just don’t take the time to learn how to do it or put in the work to make it happen. Everyone would respond with a resounding “YES” if I asked them at age 20 if they were willing to work really hard for 10 years if it meant never having to work again but the important thing is that YOU DIDN’T and neither did I!
Become a Millionaire
I’m not suggesting spending every waking moment selling houses or spending your life savings on a business venture. The fact is, most of us don’t have the money, or credit to do something like that. In other words, even if we all had the gumption to go out and flip a house or start a company, most of us don’t have the time or resources to do it. So how do we, the “normal” people, make money? We do it by investing in other people’s businesses in the form of stocks. It takes very little time and money compared to the other ways to make it big.
Now I didn’t say that you are going to take $1,000 and turn it into $1 million overnight. This is NOT a get rich quick scheme, but if you are patient and diligent, you can and will become a millionaire down the road. As you follow some simple rules to invest effectively, over time, your value will grow much faster than your 401k.
